The African American Caucus of Mecklenburg County is proud to host a special Welcome Reception to kick off the AAC-NCDP 2025 Annual Meeting.

Friday, November 7, 2025
6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Sheraton | Le Meridien, Charlotte, NC

This gathering will be an evening of connection, celebration, and community as members, leaders, and supporters come together to launch the annual meeting. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, strengthen bonds, and honor the shared commitment to advancing African American participation and leadership in North Carolina politics.

Founded on February 8, 2003, the African American Caucus of the North Carolina Democratic Party (AAC-NCDP) was established to fight for equality, increase political participation, and promote education. The organization represents the concerns of African American Democrats to party leadership, while also ensuring that the party’s positions are effectively communicated to its members.

With chapters across the state, the AAC-NCDP works tirelessly to expand visibility and influence for African Americans within the Democratic Party, with the belief that doing so strengthens the party itself. Through organizing, advocacy, and education, the caucus continues to build a stronger Democratic presence at every level of government.

The Welcome Reception will serve as a reminder of the power of unity and the importance of ensuring that African American voices remain at the forefront of shaping the party’s future in North Carolina.

We look forward to seeing you there and joining together to celebrate the values, vision, and vibrant energy of the African American Caucus.
